I wanted to send a picture of a little Mexican rein chain swivel, but it won't load (sez it's too big). Anyway, the 1/8" D round section wire portion is 7/8" tall overall and the base with the central hole is 5/32" wide and 3/4" long. The 16 gage thick base has straight sides and half-round ends (like an Rx capsule shape). The wire ends were tenoned and peened up through small holes, one at either end of the flat base. In Old Mexico, the rein swivel was called a farolito, meaning "tiny lantern" because of its shape.
