The Colorado Rocky Mountain School is a repository of Francis Whitaker's tools and equipment. He made arrangements before his passing a few years ago, to have the school maintain a smithy on campus. The school is a boarding school, grades 9 through 12. Some of the students do some blacksmithing, and the Rocky Mountain Smiths organization has meetings there. I demoed there one year. Whitaker was called "the dean of American blacksmiths" and put out a large body of ornamental ironwork at his Aspen, Colorado, shop before donating the shop's contents to the school.
